Ongoing Project: Civic Education and Social Accountability

Through the Kisumu County Working group, under Youth Alive Kenya, we conduct Kisumu East and Central Social Accountability Cells activities and trainings. Our initiatives aim to:

  • Promote social accountability in government planning and expenditure
  • Enhance good service delivery by the County government of Kisumu
  • Conduct Budget Advocacy training in Kisumu
  • Collaborate with TEAM-Transform Empower Community Action for monthly budget advocacy trainings
  • Promote community literacy in civic engagements and budget processes
  • Conduct Social Audits, petitions, and Memorandums for various government projects
  • Push for good service delivery and accountability
  • Champion Zero corruption and Good Governance through The Kisumu Social Accountability Alliance, supported by TISA-The Institute for Social Accountability
  • Empower citizens to demand sound delivery of services by holding their leaders accountable through open dialogue
